On the basis of parodontosis type A lays the socalled premature aging of parodontis. It is not always clear why it appears. A definite role in the development of parodonthosis plays hereditary predisposition. It is also mentioned that parodontosis type A more often occurs with patients, who have lacked some certain vitamins and microelements for a long period of time, patients with cardiovascular pathologies - arthrosclerosis, hypertension, maybe because of the infringement of blood circulation to the gums tissue.

There exists the theory, according to which the cause of the parodontosis type A consists in the fact that now the gum and teeth feel the lack of sufficient heavy pressure – practically all the food which is consumed is thermically treated, mild, it should not be masticated over and over again. That is why the nature gets rid of reflects that after her opinion is not of great importance.

During the parodontis, the walls of teeth shells and the ligaments, holding the teeth inside them, gradually atrophy. The neck and later the root of the tooth become naked. Sometimes on the buccal or on the labial teeth surface appears a single or multiple wedge-shaped defects (diminution of the hardtoothtissues)–enamel and dentine. The defects looks like some hollow with firm sides and tough bottom. Especially the canine teeth and the adjacent premolar teeth suffer. From the very beginning the wedge-shaped defects are not manifested, in the future appears hyper sensibility towards temperature and chemical irritants- hot or cold, sour or sweet.

On the place where the defect appears can develop a caries, which is hardly treated. The stopping usually does non help: the wedge-shaped defect can increase in shape (become bigger), and the stopping will fall out. Sometimes the wedge-shaped defect becomes the main cause of breaking of the tooth crown from the root. In spite of the existing opinion, good teeth fixing is a characteristic of the parodontosis type A. Its mobility is breaking only in case more than a half of the root is naked.

During the development of parodontosis one has no gums bleeding and feels no pain. The risk to get parodontosis is not big. It constitutes less than 2% of tooth sicknesses. But the prophylaxis of parodontosis is not also certainly created, because the causes of the disease are not still clear.
